More follow daily because they simply don't understand the world around them. Never before has it been so highly possible or easy for the small business owner to take on the giants and win.

Starting a home based Internet business is affordable for almost everyone. You can start a new business for $30.00 per month (or $300.00 per year) and get all the tools you need as part of the package.

The reality is you don't have to take on the big boys head-to-head. Few want to spend millions building an online presence to compete directly with Amazon, Walmart, Lowe’s, Home Depot or Target, just to name a few.

Instead we spend less than $500.00 to take a small portion of their market for one product line or possibly even just one product. And we win consistently. Yet the giants hardly seem to notice the thousands of small businesses that take small chunks of their traffic and sales.

But they do notice, so they offer affiliate programs so that we can promote their products and earn a commission every time we send them a customer and a sale is made to anyone going to their catalog page and making a purchase. Rather than fight us, they make us partners.

Starting a home based Internet business is possible for almost anyone, yet few are willing to take on the challenge. Are you? Can you dedicate a few hours per week to actually work on your business? Can you take the time away from watching TV or living on Facebook? Are you willing to do the work when it will probably be 6 months or a year before you see your income begin to grow?

What, you want instant results, without the work? The GRQ (get rich quick) crowd is waiting for you online. Just open your wallet to them and you will be earning thousands, perhaps even millions, within a week. The only problem is that none of these schemes work. Not even one of them.

You may find that developing a business mindset is difficult to do if you have never considered going into business for yourself. I grew up in a small business atmosphere so it has never been a problem for me. But you may not have had that advantage.
