Heck, just take a look at your cell phone and branch out your brainstorming. You can do this with televisions, drink bottles, careers, and anything you come across. How to Narrow it DownOnce you have a healthy list of options, it will be time to narrow it down. While you can choose whatever you want, I would recommend going with something you have a little expertise in and can share it with others easily. Remember, being successful with an online business has virtually nothing to do with the product and everything to do with how well you can get it out there for everyone to see. A blog is a great way to get the feel for how you want to talk about your product or service. Just write one little article a day and see what happens. Before long you will see a ton of content pieces in it. During this time you might learn about websites and how to build one. The good news is you will already have some good information to transfer over when you're ready. I could go on forever about how to start an online business, but there is no sense in getting overwhelmed with too much information. So many companies out there provide you with all these text articles, manuals, and a variety of other tools you need to learn more about during your spare time. You definitely don't want to read forever or you won't be able to get anything done.
