Find Your Niche Market
Easy way to Discover
How to Make Money
and have Fun Doing it!

Anytime I ask someone how you find your niche market, the usual response is "It's driving me crazy. There are too many options!"

Then of course there are a few others who are looking for new niches simply because the old ones didn't really pan out and make them a great deal of profit. Whatever situation led you here, there are easy ways to discover the best niches to join, make money off of, and roll around in it afterwards.

However, it's extremely difficult to come across a product that you know a lot about, that's a hot one, and you would enjoy it everyday. While many entrepreneurs just don't believe this is possible, we're going to help you make it happen today. Finding your niche market is all about research, research, and you guessed it; a little more research.

Start With Yourself

It may sound crazy, but the best thing to do upfront is learn more about yourself. What type of hobbies do you enjoy in the real world? Is there something you've always wanted to learn more about, but never had the time? If you really want to have fun with the niche and make money at the same time, answering these questions will narrow down your choices.

For example, today we're going to say you love to go on vacation (or probably want to take more) and that is the niche you would like to choose.

Making the Big Picture, Smaller

Finding a niche about vacations is easy. There are millions of travel spots, agencies, apparel, and anything else that is considered to be a part of vacationing. If you try to sell everything at once, it's going to take a lot of work, and you're going to have to deal with a lot of competitors.

Since "vacations" is extremely competitive, you want to narrow your niche focus.

Take out a piece of paper and pretend like you're drawing the sun in the middle of the page.Write "vacations" inside the circle. Now, make little branches like you were making rays (bare with me here). These are going to be your sub-categories.

If you want to have some sort of vacation niche, here is a short list of 5 sub-categories you can place here. You can do as many as you want, but this will help you get started.

  • Destinations
  • Travel Agencies
  • Airfare
  • Car Rental
  • Activities

Now start building sub-categories to each one of these. For instance, if you chose "Destinations", your list may look like this:

  • Beaches
  • Fishing Vacations
  • Skiing Vacations
  • Cultural and Historical Vacations
  • Golf Vacations

Obviously you get the idea by now right? The reason it's important to narrow these down as far as possible is so you have less competition on the Internet. When it is time to start optimizing your site, you want the best winnable keywords.

Building around SEO

The idea behind search engine optimization is to bring traffic to your website. This can be done by various forms of marketing techniques, as well as having it done to your site. This involves keywords and you want to find the ones that are searched several times a month, but don't have a lot of results when you enter them into Google.

In our example format today, you've worked your way down to "Destinations - Beaches." When you decide which beach or area of beaches, you can visit a free keyword tool like WordTracker and figure out the best keywords for this particular category.

If you want to invest a little money you can utilize software that is more proficient. Either way, the standard set up is more than 1,000 searches a month, and less than 1 million results. However, using the tips we've provided today, you'll notice that you can find better stats.

The Final Tip

If you want to really make money off of a niche and enjoy it at the same time, just try the small avenue above. Another thing you might want to consider is breaking off to look for keywords after each sub-category listing. We've seen people come up with the oddest niches which have made thousands of dollars, and in a few cases, hundreds of thousands.

There is nothing wrong with having a little fun while you make money working from home. After all, that's the whole point right?

Listen, it might take a couple practice rounds of narrowing down your possible niches. When one of our family members first started out it was tennis, baseball, basketball, football, and hockey. Out of those 5 broad categories, his niche ended up being "youth baseball bats."

He's been quite successful with it, and you can too when you find your niche market. So see what you can come up with and then figure out if the keywords and phrases will be worth using in that particular niche. Eventually you'll have a great niche in front of you, and money in the bank to show for it.
