Creating Your Home Page

Here are a few tips for you to keep in mind while you’re creating your home page. If you really want to be a major player in Internet Marketing then you have to have your own web sites. The most important page of any site is the home page.

You don’t want to simply throw together a bunch of information and pictures and put that on your web site. You want to take your time and think about exactly what you want on your home page and how you want it arranged. Include the most important information at the top of the page since this is what people will see first.

When creating your home page you also want to make it completely user friendly. This means it has to be appealing to the eyes and easy to navigate.

So don’t put too much information in a small area. Use short paragraphs, 5 or 6 lines max. Don’t put graphics that clash with other graphics. And don’t use colors that clash with each other or make it difficult to read the text on your home page.

You should include all the necessary information on your home page. Anything a person might need to know about what your business is about, you need to include that on the home page or at least include a link to that information. Be sure your link buttons are attractive as well and fit in with the overall theme of your home page and your entire website.

Your homepage should present a clear picture as to what your web site is all about. What will your visitors find and how will this benefit them.

The most important point to remember when creating your home page is that your home page is a huge part of the brand of your business. Your home page is the same as the front lawn and front of a building if you had a huge office in the real world.

Just as you wouldn’t want the lawn or the front of the office to look dirty or unprofessional, you don’t want your home page to look that way either. So, be sure you design your home page with your brand in mind at all times.

When creating your home page there are many things you want to keep in mind. You want the homepage to be user friendly, you want it to include all the necessary information, and you want it to look good.

Most importantly, you want your home page to fit in with and enhance your brand. You home page is probably the single most important piece of content on the Internet, so make sure you treat it as such.
